The basic Liftmaster single-button remote control 371LM isn't so basic. It can operate a single garage door or gate, or turn your garage door opener lights on/off. You can also use it as an extra remote control to turn on lights or small appliances inside your home - all from the comfort of your car. It features Security+ rolling code technology that sends a brand new code every time it is used.
The 371LM remote control transmitter uses 315MHz frequency for Liftmaster, sears, and chamberlain residential garage door openers. It is homelink compatible.
The 371LM is for openers with a purple learn button. To make sure this is the right remote for you check the back of your opener powerhead for a purple learn button.
Programming instructions:
1. Look on the back of your opener unit for the Smart/Learn button.
2. Press and release the learn button causing the LED to light up for 30 seconds.
3. When the learn LED lights up press and hold the remote control button (you have 30 seconds while the LED is glowing).
4. When the garage door opener lights blink or you hear two click release the remote control button. If you are going to program another product press the button another time to activate the product.
Erase old codes from memory:
This will erase ALL codes previously in memory.
1. Push the learn button for approximately six seconds until the LED light goes out. The codes are now erased, and remotes can be reprogrammed.
How to change the battery:
The lithium battery should produce power for up to 5 years.
1. Open the cover with the end of the visor clip, or a Flathead screwdriver.
2. Remove the old battery. Dispose of old batteries properly.
3. Replace with a 3-Volt 2032 coin cell battery. Insert positive side up.
4. Snap cover back on.

The 371LM is for Liftmaster, Sears, Chamberlain, Master Mechanic, and Wayne Dalton garage door openers built from 2000 to current with 315 Mhz frequency, and a purple learn button. Check the back of your opener powerhead for a purple learn button.
