We have an older home renovation, it is difficult to learn how to lay tile floors in the kitchen?

If you have done, what do you wish you'd known that you know? Will taking a class at the Home Depot do it for me, teach me everything I need to know? Does your floor again reasonably well? Thanks for your time.

I got mine myself and it looks great, I used the Reader's Digest Do-It-Yourself Manual. - If you have an older plastic / vinyl tile, do not remove it, like the old glue may contain highly toxic chemicals (now banned). Place a Hardi Backer (ceramic board) on top of IT and screw it into place (drill the hole first). - Buy small spacers for separating the tiles, they work wonders on the alignment of the tiles - Measure where the tiles will go so that you minimize the number of tiles you'll need to cut. - For cutting tile, buy tile scorer. You have a firm grip to use and quick and strong in the score (score = cut). Often you can cut your tiles at Home Depot (Or others) for little money, but you should know exactly what size you need. Good luck!
